Dr Ashwath completed his under-graduation from JIPMER Pondicherry in 1991. Then he did his MD and DCH programs in Paediatrics from King Edward Memorial Hospital, Bombay during 1992-1995.
During his residency he received special training in genetics and neonatal intensive care in one of the Asia's largest NICUS.
He was awarded the Best Resident Award in the year 1995.
He was awarded the Diplomate of National Board in 1996.
Having joined the Kovai Medical Center & Hospital in 1995 as a registrar in Paediatrics, promoted as consultant in Paediatrics.
His Particularly interests are in genetics, neonatology and respiratory diseases, especially wheezing children. He is an active member of local Paediatrics chapter. Part teretony of coimbatore chapter of IAP.
